Efflorescence refers to the time and process of blossoms budding and unfolding. But beyond the wreath of flowers embracing her or the graceful arch of her back, I am drawn to her eyes. They have a look in them that I cannot describe with words.
Efflorescence is one of the most beloved works I have ever painted. It currently hangs prominently in our living room. I don't know when - if ever - my husband and I will be able to part with the original.
