Painting "Solare" was a unique creative experience for me - I painted the sun first and usually, I start with the face of the woman. When I look at "Solare" I see a red hot sun that burns and yet cannot be resisted. The word solare comes from the term erythema solare which refers to sunburn. Though I suffer from a skin sensitivity called solar dermatitis, this never seems to stop me from sitting in the sun. I truly find its warmth to be irresistible.
