Last year I was asked to come to Canada's Andalusian Horse show, they are also know as PAALH, as a vendor as an Equestrian Artist for their weekend show. I was thrilled!! So I asked the Show Chair, Bette Lyn for some picture references to work with so that I could have something to display that would represent the Andalusian breed. She emailed me a bunch of pictures of her horses and this is the one that I managed to get done. I wanted to create a soft feeling but yet capture the movement and expression of this beautiful Andalusian mare.
We had such a wonderful time and I am looking forward to being a sponsor again in July of 2007 as it will be their first Canadian National Andalusian Show and the best of the best come out and play! The costumes that they have for their evening fiesta horse show is absolutely breathtaking and is an event that everyone should defiantly take the time to be able to go and see. The horses and riders literally dance and perform together as one and it is quite a sight to behold.
I now have a huge abundance of photo references and can hardly wait to get started on my new projects!
