Pride of the Amazon

In the deep shrouded rain forest, nothing stays unveiled; a dangerous stillness that is pierced now and then by the warning sounds of birds or the rushing of nearby water. Occasionally, the forest will lift it's veil to reveal its contrasting beauty. The gentle sight of a blue morpho butterfly landing on a leaf. The dangerous beauty of a lithe black panther, the pride of the rain forest, reclining on a branch rising high above the jungle.

"This stunning and breathtaking view is the inspiration behind my painting. The power, grace and speed of this giant black cat have captivated the imaginations of many. I wanted to capture this animal in all its mystery and portray its unpredictable nature with a rare expression of softness. To capture that moment before it's natural instincts are arouses."
