Being an artist and photographer, I always look for a vantage point that is a little different. I found this view looking down on the rooftops from another building. Coming from North America to Europe is a cultural shift. You don't have to look very far to see that they do things a little differently in Europe. That is what caught my attention in this painting. Just behind the main street of the village is a chicken coop where roosters start their day just before the sun rises. It was the sound of the chickens and roosters that make a visit here such a novelty.
