I was captivated by this scene walking through the old part of Sevilla in Spain. It was on one of those clear hot sunny days and I was dodging the heat of the sun in the shadows of the old city. This arrangement of clay pots and tin cans served as the front garden in a place completely paved with cobblestones. It was the angle of the sun's rays cutting down to the composition of potted flowers and an old wooden doorway that I thought worth noting in my sketchbook.
