Ellen Cowie - The Early Years


The second oil painting I did in 1983 was of my son and his puppy when we lived in Riding Mountain National Park and my husband was a Park Warden. We had two children by then and my sister sent me her oil paints to use while I was living in such an isolated area because my husband would sometimes be gone for a few days as the Park is so huge. The painting is 18 inches tall by 24 inches wide. The frame I have included in the jpeg because it was made by another Park Warden from old boards off an old hunting cabin that was falling down in the Park. And it is still one of my favourites.
