Christine Camilleri

|
An avid lover of the outdoors and the wilderness, Christine captures in her paintings the sense of ruggedness, peace and solitude she feels when hiking or fly fishing. Living on the back porch of the Canadian wilderness in British Columbia there are many opportunities to paint soaring mountains, old forests and glacial rivers. As an accomplished angler (she even ties her own flies) she is also turning her attention to fly fishing as a subject for her paintings:
"When I fly fish on a quiet, misty morning high up on a mountain lake or river, the sun just warming up my back as I cast into a pool to catch that elusive trout, I get into the same zen state that I enter when I paint. Time stands still and all my attention is on the pleasure at hand. I want to convey that focus, beauty and calm in the paintings I create."

Ed Cleave

|
Canadian artist Ed Cleave was born in Port Alberni, B.C. but has spent most of his life near Vancouver. Throughout this Canadian artist's life he has been interested in art and has in more recent years had the opportunity to spend time doing what he has always wanted to do - express himself artistically . Although Ed Cleave has used various art media and art subject matter, his favorite medium is watercolours and his subject matter rustic, nostalgic art whether they be old car paintings, train paintings or sawmill equipment. Canadian artist Ed Cleave has had showings of his artwork in a number of venues and his paintings are in various parts of the world. He starts every painting with the idea that this might be the perfect painting. Of course it never is, but he tries to learn from each painting and apply what he has learned to the next one.

John Cloutier

|
The artist's ceramic method is Raku, an ancient Japanese art of firing which produces sculptures with unique glazes and a characteristic black clay body. "I love the spontaneity of the medium, the combination from delicate and sophisticated to rough and primitive - all within the same piece. When you fire a piece, you never know how it's going to turn out." The works of ceramic artist John Cloutier have become a focal point of major exhibitions throughout Western Canada. John has been seen for many years in the Artists' Pavilion at the Calgary Stampede. John's work was seen recently at the Hambleton Galleries in Kelowna, B.C. He has done a number of commissioned pieces for various individuals and organizations.

Ken Cochrane

|
Ken feels deeply for what he calls the "gems of the west" by which he means the mountain and marine landscapes its wildlife and the ranching lifestyle. He took to expressing in paint the wonders of his experiences some thirty years ago. As his experience is wide, so his artistic genre is multi-faceted. The knowledge he has acquired throughout his life's experience is inherent in his art.
Ken paints full time and is an "active" member of the federation of Canadian artists. He has been awarded all top three placings including first place at the annual GOABC (Guide Outfitters Association of BC) Wildlife Art Competition, Victoria BC over the past six years and was accepted into the prestigious Calgary Stampede in 2005.

Catherine Compton

|
As an artist living and working in Kelowna, B.C., surrounded by some spectacular scenery, there is no shortage of subjects to paint; but a gift to a family member started me down the pet portrait road and I have not looked back.
There are huge numbers of pet lovers, "owned" by their furry and feathered friends, who truly cherish these companions. My greatest challenge is to capture that special expression or pose forever on canvas, as a keepsake or to be given as a wonderful gift.
We never disappoint and your satisfaction is our goal.

Maria Del Carmen Covelo

|
Maria Del Carmen Covelo was born in Galicia Spain, but now resides in Vanvouver and has her studio gallery where she shows her art by appointment only.
She is now painting full time in the Acrylic medium on canvas, paper and other materials. The subjects for her works are varied, and numerous. She has a preference for bright colours.
She likes to give a total different design and character to each painting for her clients to have, as an exclusive. As art is part of her life, her clients become her own world as well.
Having an early interest in traveling has proved an asset for her to create a variety of subjects. Her creativity is endless, and the world will have an opportunity to see it.

Heather Crocker

Image making…art, is only limited by the imagination. A gift unasked for, but for as long as I can remember art has always been a persistent force in my life. From the hallways of my earliest memories, (To the dismay of my mother, as it was her job to wash away the evidence of my budding creativity, thus forcing me to take measures and crayon to the interiors of the many closets in my childhood homes.) to what now in my middle ages is a quest to recapture the intensity of the innocent portrayal, the bridge between thought an substance.
Each piece stands on it's own merit, with no preliminary sketches or preconceived ideal of its outcome. As it springs forth it determines its medium. I struggle too, for honesty and try to avoid anything that could be considered contrived or manipulated.
