Kerry Stansfield
Kerry Stansfield Canadian Artist
The leather I use is Italian kid skin which comes in a wide variety of brilliant colors that are key to my design ideas.

Experimenting with different leathers, patterns and hardware I forged a new medium to apply my artwork. I created two different hand bag styles. One is executed in the same manner as making a cowboy boot top. The other is a dainty hand held bag with a fifties feel. I am mostly inspired by traditional and retro cowboy and western themes as well as cocktail nation kitsch from the Eisenhower era.

Betsy Symons
Betsy Symons Canadian Artist
Presently, I am a Canadian artist who paints where the sea ends in an arched curl at Deep Bay, its back up against the mountains. I paint in isolated splendor: a garden, a road, a sunflower, the inside of a wave - nature at its wildest, uninhibited by intellectual highbrow or low culture. My current focus is oil on canvas although I still continue to develop some of my work using watercolour and inks. While the days are full with teaching, writing and painting, music (opera, jazz and classical) and hiking are myother passions. Where there is music there is poetry.

Living in the interior of British Columbia is a wildlife artists dream. This fortunate move to such wonderful surroundings has been a great adventure indeed! The senses are, at times, overwhelmed by the demanding imageries-shadow, depth, color, warmth, smells and sounds. No matter where you look, the ever changing moods are stirred, bringing forth the "More then you can handle" impressions of life around us. By no means has the earlier process of my work as a portrait artist come to an end, far from it! The raising of my four children has offered me an endless variety of child life paintings in a land of a thousand and more lakes and in the adventures in the life of a child.
