Al Weitzel
Al Weitzel Scratch Board Artist
Al's remarkably detailed and lifelike works have inspired hundreds of other artists, both professional and amateur, to try their hand at this unique and exciting art medium. His Scratchboard workshop kit, designed as a learn-at-home version of his popular introduction to scratchboard workshop, has created a legion of new artist and crafters who enjoy the challenges and rewards of scratchboard.
Al's original works have been called 'unbelievably realistic', 'remarkable creations of light and shadow', 'incredible achievements', 'so three-dimensional I swear I could reach right into the scene.' It's not surprising then that they are hanging in corporate and private collections in countries around the world. Al's 'Art of Achievement' series of reproductions are a popular choice in Canadian homes and businesses alike.

Doug Welykholowa
Canadian Watercolor Artist Doug Welykholowa
Doug was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, in 1948. After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, he joined the Canadian Army as an Artillery Officer. Throughout his Army career, he had the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe, the USA and across Canada.
Doug is a self-taught artist who has been painting watercolors as an amateur since 1978, and professionally since 2002. He is also an accomplished computer graphic artist, with extensive experience in desktop publishing and fine art printing. Doug's prairie upbringing has been the major influence in his art, which concentrates on rural landscapes, old buildings and derelict machinery. He also paints dog portraits in watercolor. In his paintings he strives to capture a sense of his own feelings, experiences and appreciation for the beauty, color and texture of the landscape and the artifacts of prairie life.

Robert Westhaver
Canadian Metal Artist Robert Westhaver
Artist Robert Westhaver, was born on March 3 1973 in Germany; and shortly after his birth his family moved to Calgary. Rob lived in Calgary until his dad was transferred back to Germany with the military.
In 1984 Rob's family was transferred to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, where he lived and finished school. While attending Albert E. Peacock Collegiate he was introduced to the world of welding. Rob's welding instructor inspired him to take a creative approach to welding and he made his first tree.
Rob has created many works of metal art over the twenty years of his welding career. He worked on his pieces in his spare time at work using scrap materials. He is motivated by his boys to pursue his sculpting career and wants to give back by teaching them to weld.
