Roy Nauffts
Roy Nauffts Wildlife Artist
Canadian artist Roy Nauffts has been painting and sketching since his early childhood. His main passion is wildlife painting and paintings of the natural environment. It wasn't until his move to Brampton that Canadian artist Roy Nauffts really began to get in touch with his artistic side. Spending many hours in his studio painting and even more time sketching birds and animals in their natural environment. His main artistic influences include Robert Bateman, Carl Brenders and Alan Hunt. He tends to focus on 'Bird of Prey' and North American 'Big Cats'.

John Pagé
John Page Canadian Artist
I tend to describe myself as a generalist in that I enjoy painting the major disciplines, portraits, still-lifes, nudes and landscapes. Looking back on my body of work up to this moment , the majority of my work has been landscapes. Landscapes have a great appeal to me because of my love for the natural world. Nature in all it's wonders is an infinite source of inspiration. When choosing subject's, panoramic views with the mountains in the background and a lake in the foreground has little appeal to me. Panoramics, from my perspective keep the viewer at a distance. My intent as a painter is to give the viewer a more intimate look at nature. Ideally I try to put the viewer into the scene and point out a slice of nature that they may not have noticed.
Tom Phalen
Tom Phalen Canadian Artist
Tom has worked in oils, watercolour and acrylics, but now focuses solely on coloured pencil.

"I find it the ideal medium for the way I work. I get the feel of drawing, but the end result can be made to look like an oil or a watercolour. I can sit down and begin immediately, or get up and walk away if I need to give some thought to a particular problem." Tom's art is mostly still life but he does some fantasy figurative work also. In either case he strives for a high degree of realism.

Lisa Rotenberg
Folk Art and Illustration by Canadian Artist Lisa Rotenberg
Lisa Rotenberg is a very busy artist, working out of her cubby hole studio in downtown Toronto.
Listed with the National Gallery of Canada, she produces work at an alarming rate for private and corporate clients - showing a flare for color and wit that has not landed her in trouble yet.
Whether the subject matter is a dancing hot dog or a Canadian landscape, craftsmanship and strategy are key elements of her work.
A painting must stand the test of time or it does not leave the office.

Lance Russwurm
Lance Russwurm Canadian Artist
I was born in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1953 and I admit that, perhaps, the views of my generation were shaped more than a little by Hollywood. But that's all right. Romance (In the true sense of the word) seems to be healthier than ever these days, and this is precisely what I am most interested in trying to capture in my paintings. I use an almost photo-realistic style to lend reality and immediacy to events that happened long ago - or may never have happened at all. My attention to research and detail, I am told, borders on fanaticism, but my main objectives will always remain storytelling and mood.

Ken Ryan
Ken Ryan Canadian Artist
My favourite subject matter to paint is the figure, set in the Ottawa Valley. I hope to express to the viewer a style that is unique to me, using warm colours, keeping composition simple while stirring a quiet emotion. My years farming made me a much richer and deeper soul, life and death happen everyday. I became a keener observer of weather and nature and mankind. I hope to bring my life experiences to my paintings.
From Mr. Raman Frey - Frey Norris Gallery - San Francisco
"Your paintings are incredibly powerful and haunting. Your choice of subject matter conveys a natural sense of composition and the dignity and grace of your sitter, as well as a feel for your own place and time."

Stephen Seguin
Stephen Seguin - Canadian Artist
Stephen James Séguin, born 1986 in Etobicoke, Canada.
"I started off in 'story time,' some sort of preschool in which I could draw and paint all I wanted while people would read me stories. This was important for me as I developed an interest in drawing. Soon after, at the age of four, I attended my first year of kindergarten in which I continued in my interests, I would gain confidence as other classmates would praise my accomplishments; the first to successfully write my own name. By senior kindergarten, I was able to draw decipherable pictures.
I intend to attend an arts college someday to gain some official credit of an artist's background and perhaps take up a career in my interest. But for now, I'll just concentrate on finishing high school."

Don Sibley
Don Sibley Ontario Artist
Don continues to create striking oil paintings on canvas using bold warm colours with an intense light source. Still Life compositions are a favourite subject matter especially in the winter months when working outside is not always possible. Working in the comfort of his studio, he is able to position the subject endlessly and move the lights around until everything is just the way he wants it to be before beginning. Some of the work he does is commissioned but many of the paintings on display here are started using sketches done on location in Europe and here in Canada.

Barbara Simpson
Barbara Simpson Ontario Artist

Barbara Simpson, the exciting "Originals Only" Canadian artist, resides in Brockville near the picturesque St. Lawrence River while continuing to pursue her passion to paint.

My paintings define my individuality, along with my vibrant personality. I love a myriad of colour, which represents my "joie de vivre". My work is considered to be upbeat, warm and flattering to the eye. And while I currently work with acrylic paints, I have experimented with other mediums such as: pen and ink, charcoal, pastel, watercolor and oil. I enjoy painting abstract, portrait and various other subjects, although, most of my work features floral and landscapes, and several tropical settings.

Lynn Soehner
Lynn Soehner - Canadian Artist
Born and educated in Toronto, Ontario, Lynn Soehner is a professional artist whose acrylic on canvas paintings are recognized for being graphically bolder with rich, exotic colors, offering a kind of cadence or rhythm which evokes the "Spirit of Place".
What is consistent in her art, is a sense of ease, even playfulness in her colour choice and treatment of forms.
Soehner's work is frequently used on products and in magazines to convey the "feeling" of the land.

Melanie Springbett
Ontario Artist Melanie Springbett
Melanie Springbett is a versatile professional artist who resides in Barrie, Ontario. She depicts everything from animals to scenery, pets and people.

She loves to do pet portraits. She has always had a family pet and does believe what is said "dogs are man's best friend."

Galleries that have shown her work include Art Gallery of Algoma, Select Art Galleries in Newmarket and Station House Gallery in Echo Bay.

Trevor Tennant
Trevor Tennant Canadian Artist
When you approach the art of Canadian artist Trevor Tennant, you are entering a world of beauty and light in his landscape and wildlife paintings. His attention to detail and ability to capture the "glow" of light is winning him national and international acclaim.
His techniques are entirely self-taught believing that art is best learned through mistakes, and by the determination to make each new painting better than the one before. He paints primarily in acrylic, creating the impression of depth, distance and texture by using layer upon layer of thin acrylic paint.

Lynn Weymark
Lynn Weymark Canadian Artist
A natural at capturing realism, Canadian artist Lynn Weymark painted everything from dog portraits to people and was commissioned to reproduce local buildings. Three years ago she turned her talents toward her first love of wildlife. Lynn displays annually in the prestigious, Christmas at Presquile show in Brighton Ontario. Her work can also be viewed at Gallery on the Apple Route. She has competed yearly in Ducks Unlimited print portfolio events as well as the annual Wildlife Habitat Canada duck stamp contest. Each year she gives both her time and a print, for the annual Art for Animals show in Trenton Ontario, hosted by Life Like Prints. Money raised goes to aid a local animal shelter. Much of Lynn's work is available in Limited Edition Giclee prints.
Bram L. Wolf
Bram L. Wolf Western Artist
Canadian artist Bram L. Wolf lives and works in a horse farm area of southern Ontario. He spent most of his early life in a small ranching community in the West. Working and living among farms and ranches gave him a great respect for the working cowboy, the great romantic figure of the North American West. Most people don't realize the long hours and hard work that is required of the men that choose this life style. Dust and sweat is their constant companion not to mention the brutal winters that some of them endure. They are definitely the backbone of the cattle industry.
Other subjects that Bram likes to paint include the early trapper or mountain man, the Native American and wildlife. His favorite horses are the Quarter horse and the Mustang and his favorite dog is the Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler).
