Colleen Babie
Colleen Babie - Calgary Alberta Artist - Painted Daisies, Watercolour 15 x 11
Colleen Babie was born in Edmonton and raised in Calgary. She received a BA (Hons.) and an MA in English from the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta respectively. While working as a private tutor for children with learning problems, she found art.

Colleen's medium of choice is water color and her paintings hang in private collections in Canada and in Australia. The magic, fluid nature of the paint greatly intrigues Colleen, and she continually strives to "come into her own" with the medium. A variety of influences inspire Colleen, but her garden is perhaps the greatest contributor to her passion for painting. Her creativity is driven by her admiration for the world around her, and by her desire to experience the endless possibilities available to her through her art.

Bonita Bell
Peggy's Cove by Bonita Bell - Calgary Alberta Artist
Raised in rural Manitoba, Bonita Bell now lives and works in Calgary. Growing up in the Prairies she finds the best way to capture the soul of the grasslands is by painting the many farmsteads that dot the landscape. Her paintings range from landscapes to wildlife to floral. She enjoys painting subjects people can relate to, and her style is soft and colourful. Her many trips throughout the world have been a source of inspiration and find expression in her art.

She studied art at the University of Calgary and Red Deer Art College, including design, drawing and children's art; and has had the privilege through her career to instruct children in art for 23 years. Bonita participates in workshops and classes at every opportunity, and in numerous art shows. She has had the opportunity of having her paintings hang in private collections in Canada and throughout the world.
