Linda Chan![]() |
Linda Chan has always been fascinated with art. It was not until 1984, however, that she began to actively pursue this interest. Since that time, she has studied under numerous local artists, and has been instrumental in hosting workshops held by visiting artists from overseas. Making use of a variety of media, her work melds together East and West, creating a painting style that is at once bold and refreshing. chanpm@telus.net |

Three of these sculptures now reside in Calgary's downtown core with the balance located in three of her suburbs - one in the sculpture Garden of Mount Royal College, another in Signal Hill Park and the final one in Varsity at the entrance to Bow Valley Christian Church. Sandi Greene![]() |
Sandi paints in pastel and watercolour. She loves the play of light and shadow, and colour. She paints people, animals, landscapes and that which is waiting to be found. When she paints people and animals she views it as a privilege to bring forth their spirit, to share their core with the beholder. When she paints landscapes it always something that has touched her in some way. Of late she has been exploring mixed media, collage and some acrylic combined with watercolour. She chooses colours that feel for her at the time, lays them down and waits to see what it is they wish to show. Sometimes she knows right away and other times it takes a while. Thus far she has seen angels and faeries and dancers and cats and horses and goddesses. Each time it is a new adventure. Sandi is full time artist whose home studio is in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. faerie@shaw.ca |
