Gwen Burroughs
Gwen Burroughs - Calgary Alberta Watercolour Artist
Her natural aptitude for painting allowed her to embrace art as a way of expressing herself while tapping into a reservoir of creativity and spiritual connection.

In 1993 she turned her painting into a full-time career and is currently a member of the Interpretations Artist Association of Calgary, AB, Canada. Her work has been exhibited in the Offices of the Minister of Community Development, You be the Judge Gallery, The Muttart Gallery, Sussex Gallery, Hendrix Gallery, and Watermark Gifts. Linda Chan
Linda Chan - Calgary Alberta Artist
Linda Chan has always been fascinated with art.
It was not until 1984, however, that she began to actively pursue this interest. Since that time, she has studied under numerous local artists, and has been instrumental in hosting workshops held by visiting artists from overseas.
Making use of a variety of media, her work melds together East and West, creating a painting style that is at once bold and refreshing.

Galts Goldsmith
Whimsical Art by Galts Goldsmith
"Whimsical Images for a Not-So-Whimsical World" It is my heartfelt desire to lift the spirit and bring joy to the hearts of people everywhere. God has gifted me with a desire to create and an ability to work with my hands. To deny this would be to deny my own existence."
Galts Goldsmith is Artist, Master Goldsmith, Hand Engraver, Stone Sculptor. He has six monumental stone sculptures in various areas around the city. Three of these sculptures now reside in Calgary's downtown core with the balance located in three of her suburbs - one in the sculpture Garden of Mount Royal College, another in Signal Hill Park and the final one in Varsity at the entrance to Bow Valley Christian Church. Each piece weighs from two tons to six tons and was finished entirely by hand.

Sandi Greene
I paint for the love of the process. For the ideas that wake me in the night; For the blank canvas, waiting to be transformed; For the joy of colour and form and the way they dance; For the angst when I think, this is not going to work; For the wonder of the gifts that flow through me; For that incredible moment of magic when a painting is finished - and I am filled with gratitude for the privilege of its creation; And when someone else treasures my art, I am truly honoured. Sandi Greene - Calgary Alberta Artist
Sandi paints in pastel and watercolour. She loves the play of light and shadow, and colour. She paints people, animals, landscapes and that which is waiting to be found. When she paints people and animals she views it as a privilege to bring forth their spirit, to share their core with the beholder. When she paints landscapes it always something that has touched her in some way. Of late she has been exploring mixed media, collage and some acrylic combined with watercolour. She chooses colours that feel for her at the time, lays them down and waits to see what it is they wish to show. Sometimes she knows right away and other times it takes a while. Thus far she has seen angels and faeries and dancers and cats and horses and goddesses. Each time it is a new adventure.
Sandi is full time artist whose home studio is in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Gena Hoffer
Art By Gena Hoffer - Calgary Alberta Artist
Gena was born and raised in southwestern Saskatchewan. Her parents had a strong influence on her through their love of the outdoors and appreciation of the area they lived in. Interested in art at a very young age, Gena discovered the sheer enjoyment of just sitting and drawing.
Gena became a Registered Nurse in 1987 and has worked at the Alberta Children's Hospital ever since. In 1993 she began art classes as a creative outlet from her hectic and stressful work at the hospital. Since then she has taken part in many workshops and art shows.
In 1997 Gena's life focus changed when she and her husband became parents. It was at this point that Gena's paintings began to combine the simple beauty of the outdoors with the innocence of young children. She enjoys working with watercolors and pastels because of the freedom it provides her. Gena continues to take art classes and enjoys pushing the boundaries of her comfort zone.
