CARIBOU CROSSING - By Yukon Artist Jim Robb

CARIBOU CROSSING
22'" x 12'"
Framed Limited Edition print: $400.00

Caribou Crossing is a very picturesque Yukon village. Its location is approximately 48 miles south of Whitehorse and sits on the north end of Lake Bennett surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges. The name of the village has been shortened and is now known as Carcross. The view in this print is of Carcross from across The Narrows (the old village side). The party that discovered the gold that sparked the Klondike Gold Rush came from the Carcross-Tagish area. They were Skookum Jim, Tagish Charlie, Kate Carmacks and Patsy Henderson. The Carcross area is their final resting place.
