The first thing I noticed about this painting is the interesting colours of the translucent mineral rich stream and the fascinating colours in the shadows from the rocks and the trees along this stream. I am fascinated by the rocks that lie just below the surface of the mineral rich water, which add so much depth of colour to this image, the rocks that are wearing brightly coloured lichen, the trees that create a collar for the edge of the stream. Such teamwork in Mother Nature. Is it not magnificent?
