This is the type of scene that is etched in your mind for ever. The innocence and love behind the act of kindness is what touches every parent. Children grow up too fast as we all know. Sadly, they venture forth into the new and exciting world with enthusiasm that only youth can bring. Happily , you have done your best, they are focused with all the tools of life to succeed. It's funny, the things we secretly grumbled about such as driving to dancing lessons and football practices are the very times you miss the most. It's the talk in the car, sharing the day’s events, the good and the hurt feelings. Sometimes a life lesson can weaved into the conversation, really hitting home this time because it was learned as a result of a practical experience. If we are lucky, it's thank you Dad , I love you. I can drive forever fuelled on those words , the windshield wipers repeat them over and over again.
