The lake for this oil painting is located just south of Whitney, Ontario, south east of Algonquin Park. The Beaver Lodge was located up on the shore. I then decided the painting should represent various symbols of early Canadian culture. To show this I added the Algonquin birch bark canoe, Cree painted paddle, red Hudson Bay point blanket, and of course the beaver. This painting would be stunning in any home, especially a log or timber frame home with a great room.
