Canadian Artist Maria Del Carmen Covelo

Biography

Maria Del Carmen Covelo was born in Galicia, Spain. She learned to paint at a very early age from prominent artists and family members. She started with oils, and watercolours. Later on she immigrated to Canada with her loving husband (who deceased years later) where she now makes her home.

She has her studio gallery in Vancouver, and she shows her art by appointment only.

She attended the Emily Carr Art Institution in Vancouver since year 2000 in the continuing Fine Art classes where she was instructed by a variety of teachers.

She is now painting full time in the Acrylic medium on canvas, paper and other materials.

The subjects for her works are varied, and numerous. She has a preference for bright colours.

She likes to give a total different design and character to each painting for her clients to have, as an exclusive. As art is part of her life, her clients become her own world as well.

Having an early interest in traveling has proved an asset for her to create a variety of subjects. Her creativity is endless, and the world will have an opportunity to see it.

"After doing some personal growing, and spiritual soul searching I learned to connect with my own spirit in a much deeper way. This brought a lot of awareness in my life, especially as an artist."
