Born in Enderby, BC Canada Maureen is the 2nd of four girls in the family of George and Dorie Trimble. She started school in Enderby but after a couple years they moved and lived in Kelowna, BC. There she spent her school years going to KSS and to Herbert's Business College. She met Dale Flinn and moved North of Edmonton, AB to a small town called Dapp. Being very talented and crafty themselves, Maureen's parents passed their skills onto their daughters. Maureen was always drawing and pencil sketching and of course did the crafts of the times; ceramics, pottery, decoupage, paper tole, wooden crafts, and tole painting on wooden crafts, cream cans, coal shuttles etc. Maureen has been taking painting lessons in Edmonton since Feb 2003 at Pros Art School and Gallery and tries to take at least three lessons a week. At Pros Art they teach the method and techniques used by master artists. In 2005 Maureen participated in a trip to New York with instructor Gene Prokop and fellow painters to view some masters' great paintings. Experiencing the movement and life in an oil painting done by a master was exhilarating and she was eager to delve into further learning of how the masters were able to make the paintings come alive through their use of big and bold brush strokes. Her love of family, animals and nature gives her many ideas for great paintings. To feel the warmth of the sun and hear the sounds of nature while knowing all can be captured on canvas gives Maureen a love for life and deep appreciation of art. The instructors at Pros Art School: Courses in the future are: She is a member of: During the past three years Maureen has been featured at many art shows. It is Maureen’s passion to study the “old Masters Paintings” To use the big bolder brushstrokes and put the feeling of movement and emotion in all her works of art.
