A string of four boats tied loosely to a dock along the south shore of Nova Scotia on a pleasant summer afternoon, 1983. I was intrigued by thephysics off the scene... The reflection of the boats and dock... The refraction ofthe postt going into the water and the various changes in colour that takesplace inn the water and atmosphere. I wrote an article describing these effectswhich appearedd in Volume 7 of Chinook. The painting was on the cover of the magazine.
