I thought long and hard what to call this painting of the very best of friends..."Girl Dalk"...Girl Dock"...Best Buddies".."Dockers".. The title came from the Anne of Green Gables stories, which Janice loves dearly and it seemed most appropriate.Janice andd Emily Dippo were on the dock at Clear Lake during the Victoria Day weekend,May 1991. They were having a very intent conversation about something girl-oriented...obviously having a good time. Keith was under the dock at the time sharingin thee conversation. I had some trouble with Janice's portrait... it'stough too please a soon-to-be teenager but she liked the tan I gave her although the ultra-violet light is not good for you... it was artificial in this caseI reallyly like this painting!
