Plein Air Art by Phil Chadwick
Oxtongue Shore
Oils on oil foundation commercial canvas- Pale burnt sienna. 14 x 11 (inches)
Started Friday, September 15th, 2006

I was headed eastbound on Highway 60 by 8 am on my way to Brockville. I stopped on the west bank of the Oxtongue River and spend some quality time painting. The water was very dark. The skies were still overcast stratus with the odd bit of light drizzle. The computer models cannot handle the planetary boundary layer and as a result, the automated public forecast is often wrong. This would be two days in a row when the promised sunshine would not materialize.
