This is my art from the first outing of the Southampton Art School Killarney Paint-out. We headed to the lighthouse at the eastern end of Ontario Street. I set up looking southerly at the near shore of George Island. I started painting just after 9 am. The wind and the wave action increased throughout the morning. By the time I was done just before noon, the waves were crashing on the peak and orange granite rocks. The waves I painted were from about mid-morning before they really got rocking! I was also interested in the very bright reflections of the water trapped in the granite pools.
