Artists develop their personal thumbprint and achieve their individual voice through any number of sources. Tricia Sellmer chooses to use her childhood memories, stream-of-consciousness writings, conversations with intimate strangers as well as good friends, astonishing adventures, intense research, keen observation and her vivid imagination to connect all the coded dots within a multi-layered, multi-media art practice. It is not possible to separate her personal and professional lives. Tricia Sellmer's work affords those who appreciate contemporary art a journey beyond traditional boundaries where, through careful contemplation, enthusiasts find unsurpassed emotional depth. Each exceptional painting provides a glimpse into the mysterious inner workings of a true artist's conceptual message delivered through elusive textures, quality of line, and intensity of colour. The result is a culmination of tiny abstractions which when brought together become whole. Tricia Sellmer works hang in public and private collections internationally.
