Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta the Western way of life has been a huge influence and I am rarely seen wearing any footwear other than my cowboy boots.
The creative spirit has always been with me and I have extensive artistic experience in advertising, commercial sign design and special events.
I have been greatly influenced by a long time mentor and International Wildlife Artist and Instructor, Terrence Andrews. I utilize an impressionistic style in creating my oil paintings of rural scenes and the mountains.
A second passion of mine is photography and driving the backroads of Western Canada looking for old farm buildings, animals and beautiful landscapes. My paintings are referenced mostly from own photos. I attempt to feel my way through each creation and am known for my dark backgrounds and bold focal points.
I have shown with the Western Horizon Artist Group since its inception and my paintings hang in many homes. For the last four years I have painted on a full time basis.
