Peter was born in London England just prior to World War II. Growing up surrounded by the images of war, his first drawings displayed the reality of what he witnessed. During compulsory National service at eighteen he continued studies in art and passed his GCE Advanced level in Art. Following national service in the RAF he joined Selfridges in London as a trainee Display artist. In 1967 Peter together with Madeleine his wife and their three small children emigrated to Canada. Continuing his career as Assistant display director for the Bay here in Calgary. Then moving into the design and sales side of the industry for the next twenty years. In 1988 Peter was encouraged by a close friend to return to the study of watercolour as his preferred medium. This took him to the Alberta college of art and at the urging of his instructor he began to offer his work for sale.
Since 1990 Peter has experienced a major change in direction as he continues to support himself through the sale of his artwork, and doors opened for him to serve as a Catholic lay evangelist, which has taken him to many countries, primarily in Africa. Wherever he travels, he records images of the country and peoples in a growing collection of unique sketch books.
Over many years Peter has regularly exhibited at the Calgary Stampede Western art gallery and studios and as a result his work has spread to many countries.
