My art is all about experimenting with colour and texture. The infinite colours and textures of nature are my inspiration. Rarely do I use brushes, opting instead for anything that will create more unexpected results and allow the paint to "do its own thing". The majority of my paintings are about bringing the outside in, because I feel more peaceful and grounded when I'm surrounded by nature. I hope my art provides you with that connection to nature that we all need.

Creating has always been a part of my life, in one form or another. From growing up with an artist mother to getting a diploma in advertising art from Fanshawe College and spending the next 25+ years as a self employed graphic artist. Creating is a necessity! In the past few years fine art has finally taken a seat at the head of the table. It evolved in the winter, as a way to pay homage to my sleeping garden outside, that I missed so much. If you don’t find me inside with paint under my nails, you’ll likely find me outside with dirt under them, tending my garden. Gardening is really just painting with flowers and foliage to create a pleasing picture. I live in Niagara Falls, Canada with my husband, 2 dogs and a 30 yr old red-eared slider turtle that spends his summers outside in the backyard pond, along with all the other creatures that call our urban garden “home”.
