Art has always been part of my life. I have been painting for over 50 years with a focus on wilderness landscapes in acrylics, watercolour, graphite and charcoal. Creating memorable landscape art is my passion.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario Canada and lived there until my move to Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario 30 years ago. My family always encouraged my artistic pursuits, even giving me a small oil painting set when I was 10. Weekends spent camping with the family brought nature closer to a city boy. During High School my art teacher opened my eyes to the joy of painting with acrylics and watercolour, especially outdoors.  His encouragement provided the basis for my life-long desire to get out into nature to create an emotive, creative response to what I see and feel.

After graduating college with honours in Advertising and Graphic Design I started my working life as a commercial artist, graphic designer and art director.  Many new roles led me to a 35 year management career in marketing, promotion and advertising with a number of high profile companies.  I also owned my own advertising and promotion agency in Toronto.  Today I just paint and am loving every minute of it!

My work is currently in private collections across Canada, in the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and in Japan. It's a valued addition to your home, cottage, business or as a gift that could last for generations. Commission and gallery inquiries welcomed.

Artist Statement

As a contemporary realist my landscape paintings are portraits of a real moment in time that reflect the serine beauty of the wilderness landscape. They provide a restful place to counter today’s face-paced world, connecting people’s emotional sense of wonder to an inspirational sense of place, light, time and space where joyful memories are made from our natural spaces and wilderness places.
