Gordon Milne View From the Corner
View From the Corner72h x 48w
During my drawing sessions I always set up my easel in the far corner of the studio. Usually, with about ten minutes left in class, I pack up my drawings, sit on the floor and watch the dancers finish their routines. Quite often the dancers will move diagonally across the floor towards me and end up only inches away – often finishing with an Arabesque. It's the best view in the house – and something not many people get to see. This painting, featuring Serena Sandford, is my effort to capture the unique beauty of my view from the corner.
