This painting was inspired from our trip through Montana last September. This scene was painted from the remnants found in the Ghost Town of Bannack. It was definitely one of our favourite stops along our trip as there was no one else around when we visited this old town, further enhancing the experience of walking around the abandoned buildings and equipment of this bygone era. It was a very quiet and peaceful day with only the Ravens to keep us company. The painting title 'An Unkindness' is in reference to the terminology given for a flock of Ravens, but also fits with the nature of the passing of time.
