 Canadian Artist Brian Burness |
Brian is a self-taught oil medium artist born and raised in Estevan, Sask. He moved to Alberta in 1972 to work in the oil and gas industry where he is still employed as a marketing consultant for an oil service company in Calgary, Alberta.
Brian started oil painting on canvas in 1994 with a southwestern flare as a form of relaxation and hobby. Since that time he has focused on more variety and has branched into abstracts using oil and beeswax as a medium. He also continues with his southwestern style.
Brian and his wife Rosemary live on an acreage south of the town of Okotoks, Alberta.
