Lancette Burton
I am a born and raised Calgarian who found a passion for art and photography in high school. That enthusiasm began in Grade 10 art class, while experimenting with pencil crayons and pastels. I competed my first acrylic painting, two years later in grade 12. My new passion is working with oils and I have been experimenting with mixed media lately.
Years later after graduating from University, I rediscovered my passion for art and have committed to learning and growing as a professional artist. I have participated in many oil and acrylic landscape and portrait painting workshops. I have worked under the mentorship of a few professional oil artists such as Rick Berg and Michael Downs from 2014 to the present. I participated in my first solo art show in June 2016 and my second solo show in 2018. I have had a several juried art showings and have participated in many group art shows. I enjoy painting all genres, but my passion is painting landscapes, sunsets, animal portraits and abstracts, using nature as my inspiration.
